A rare find of the Dale Earnhardt Jr diecast cars is the Mom and Pops, Red and Black #31, Chevrolet Malibu, part of the Elite edition by Action. There was only about 5000 of these produced and released in 1996. This particular model is the replica of the first car of the Busch series driven by
Earnhardt. There are various versions, made at different times, which have an effect on the cost. The hood and doors open on some of the various models. In mint condition this model begins at the $40 range.
Not only rare, but a pricey edition of the Dale Earnhardt Jr diecast cars is the RCCA Action diecast model, complete with autograph on the windshield and Certificate of Authenticity. The number 88, with green hood, front end, and roof, along with the remainder of the body
are in white with red lettering, a red 88 on the doors, with 88 on the roof in white. The scale for this model is 1:24. Other models are actually banks for kids. The selection is as broad as price ranges are depending on if the edition is limited or not, and condition. The prices can be as low as $10 to over $4000. This collection would be a much welcome gift or even a conversation piece for any NASCAR fan.
